Flora Elizabeth Huber Tungate, age 87 of Campbellsville died Monday January 3, 2011 at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg.

She was the daughter of the late William Aylott Huber and Mary Alice Nelson Huber and was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky December 15, 1923.  She was married to the late William Louis Tungate, and a member of Gravel Switch Baptist Church.  She was a devoted wife and mother.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Mattie Mae Tungate and Fannie Paulette Tungate, four sisters; Osa Mae Hunt, Mattie Miller, Ruby Huber, and Bessie Huber, and five brothers; Dewey Huber, Lloyd Huber, Sherman Huber, Lucian Huber, and Albert Huber.

She is survived by five sons; Gene Tungate and his wife Margaret of Springfield, Millard Tungate and his wife Doris of Lebanon, Gary Tungate and his wife Connie of Lebanon, Herbert Tungate and his wife Teresa of Gravel Switch, and Rex A. “Rusty” Tungate of Campbellsville; three daughters; Alice Borders of Fairplay, Lottie Shaw and her husband Robert of Campbellsville, and Betsy Dudgeon of Campbellsville; five grandsons; James Borders of Louisville, Millard Tungate, Jr. of Hodgenville, Gary Lee Tungate of Gravel Switch, Christopher Dudgeon of Campbellsville, Matthew Tungate of Lebanon; five granddaughters; Tisha Carney of Springfield, Kimberly Cook of Campbellsville, Amanda Ball of Lexington, Melissa Tungate of Gravel Switch, and Coramae Tungate of Campbellsville, one brother and a twin sister; Herman Huber and his wife Justine of Louisville, and Dora Morris of Louisville; one step-sister-in-law; Myrtle Huber of Campbellsville; four great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters, and four step-great-granddaughters.

Funeral services for Flora Elizabeth Huber Tungate will be conducted Thursday January 6, 2011 at 12:00 PM at the Gravel Switch Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Ryder Cemetery.  Brother Louis Arnold officiating.  Visitation is to begin after 5:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
